How to Plan Stag WeekendsEver wonder why the plot of so many outrageous comedies concerns stag weekends gone terribly wrong? The reason is simple—stag parties are wild and crazy fun; and in that irresponsible, often inebriated environment, things are bound to go wrong. In fact, things will almost certainly have to go wrong. So, while stag party horror stories might be fun on the Big Screen, they are decidedly less enjoyable for the actual participants. That is why if you have been handed the responsibility of organizing your best friend’s last night of freedom, it is always a good idea to plan, and plan well. We mean it! Throwing caution to the wind and leaving everything to chance may very well result in a disastrously unfunny evening. Where to start? Ideally, it is best to give yourself at least a few weeks to plan a stag party, particularly if it will take place over an entire weekend. Also, don’t be afraid to ask for help, that’s what your fellow groomsmen are for. Maybe they can take care of the airfare and car rentals, while you book the hotels and plan activities. Stag weekend activities are limited only by your imagination, which you will be well served to use. Honestly, your mates won’t appreciate doing the same old things they do at home on stag weekends. Some of the most popular activities include: rock climbing, paintball, white water rafting, and racing dune buggies. After a hard day of play, stag party members often want to hit the bars or the dance clubs. Two popular and exciting alternatives are to visit a comedy club or a casino, if there is one in the area. If you are ever in doubt as to what the others would like to do, just ask them. But don’t tell the groom! |
