The year 2007 saw the dawn of a high definition episode of cribs, which came with a new title format on screen graphics and sequences. The priciest pads episode kicked of the season with Kimora Lee Simons airing it.

In September 2007, it was offered to local televisions in the United States where it aired on a weekly basis by Litton entertainment. Production music replaced all the music that played in the former episode to avert loyalty fees.

Pak and Lewis are still listed in the episodes credits as narrators, however all narration was stripped in the new and reedited episodes, and the upcoming segments were either done by an announcer who is unaccredited or who is silent. The syndicated version was not successful, and was offered in swap form, more so form the lower rated stations within many markets in appalling timeslots, and consequently removed from the market in September 2008.

In January 2009, the new program cribs produced a different version which was specific to the sister network CMT, and dedicated itself to stock car drivers, country music artists and professional bull riders among other south eastern US culture celebrity figures. Currently there are new and upcoming episodes that have the CMT cribs title. In the same year 2009, the MTV format of cribs changed to teen cribs, which feature the homes of average teenagers living large in notable homes, and avoiding the celebrity crib element.
